How to Install a Skill

Installing skills in Claude Code is quick and easy. Follow these steps to add new capabilities to your Claude assistant.

Installation Steps

1. Browse Available Skills

Navigate to the [Marketplace](/marketplace) to browse all available skills. You can:

Filter by category

Search for specific functionality

Read descriptions and ratings

View skill details and documentation

2. Choose a Skill

Click on any skill to view its detail page. Here you'll find:

Full description of capabilities

Installation requirements

Usage examples

User reviews and ratings

Publisher information

3. Install the Skill

On the skill detail page:

1. Click the "Install Skill" button

2. Review the permissions requested (if any)

3. Confirm installation

4. Wait for the installation to complete

4. Start Using the Skill

Once installed, the skill is immediately available in Claude Code:

The skill appears in your installed skills list

You can invoke it using its specific commands

Check the skill's documentation for usage instructions

Managing Your Skills

View Installed Skills

Access your installed skills from the sidebar or by visiting `/skills/installed`.

Update Skills

Skills are automatically updated when publishers release new versions. You can also:

Check for updates manually

View changelog for updates

Roll back to previous versions if needed

Uninstall Skills

To remove a skill:

1. Go to your installed skills list

2. Find the skill you want to remove

3. Click the "Uninstall" button

4. Confirm removal
